About this deal

Ecoair Summit is a simple to use dehumidifier, ideally used for a 2-3 bedroom house or flat & can extract moisture up to 12 Litres/day. We are introducing the compact but powerful Summit Dehumidifier, which removes an impressive 12 Litres of water per day and gives the user ultimate precision via an Intelligent Control Panel. Manage humidity levels at the touch of a button and benefit from the small unit with a "big heart". Advanced space-saving design means that we can now include a 2L collection tank and several advanced warning and operation indicators. Extra control means that dampness and condensation stand very little chance of taking hold. Make a difference to the air that you breathe at home. Meaco claims that Zambezi has six"world firsts" for a desiccant dehumidifier. These include a digital display, which is usually only found on refrigerant models, and a sterilising ioniser. The Zambezi also includes Meaco's Energy Saving Laundry+, for drying clothes fast, and a daily timer. The Meaco DD8L is a portable desiccant dehumidifier that weighs just 6.4kg. This is less than half some of the refrigerant models on this list, making it an impressively light unit. It's also a quiet model with a noise rating of just 39dB on its lowest fan setting. While it's not the quietest model on the market, its noise output on lower settings is acceptable if you're in the same room. It's also not great at removing water from the air of cooler environments. We wouldn't recommend it for garages or conservatories. The Pro Breeze also has "Smart" features that aren't found on older dehumidifiers. For example, there's an app for controlling the target humidity and viewing the current humidity level. You can also choose from three modes and create schedules.

Other features include automatic shut-off when the water tank is full, a continuous drainage option and three options for humidity control. There are also two fan settings and a laundry function. Emptying the tank is simple, although you'll need to replace the filter every 4-6 months. Suitability - The EcoAir Summit S Dehumidifier is an excellent means of preventing mould, condensation, spores, fungi and bacteria growth. It's perfect for use in kitchens, basements, bathrooms, bedrooms, garages, etc. It works best at temperatures between 5 and 32 degrees Celsius. It's also fantastic at removing water from the air. As it's a desiccant model, it excels at room temperature or below. For drying out a few rooms at the same time, the DD322 Classic is an excellent option. Compact portable dehumidifier with max 12 Litres/day extraction rate. 2 litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter The Inventor Fresh12L dehumidifier isn't built by one of the "big 3" manufacturers (EcoAir, Meaco and Ebac). Even so, it's proven to be a h ighly popular budget dehumidifie r that's great for removing water from room-temperature environments. We think theDD122FW MK5 Classic is one of the best dehumidifiers on the market. It's not the most energy efficient or the largest, but it has excellent water extraction and works well in colder homes or garages. It's also a great option as a dehumidifier for your bedroom when on lower settings. Multi-layerCarbonFilter : Carbon,Nylon & Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Thesummit comes with a carbon filter as standard which is good foreliminating odours (cigarette, cooking).

One of our favourite compactdehumidifiers is the EcoAir DC12. While there are lighter options available, its slim design and large water tank make it an excellent home dehumidifier. litre water tank capacity with continuous drainage option, concealed easy glide castor wheels and washable air filter. The energy efficiency of a dehumidifier is a vital consideration. You can get a rough estimate by looking at the power rating and using our running costs guide, but you also need to consider factors such as temperature, relative humidity and the type of dehumidifier. Let's start with the dehumidifier function. It's capable of extracting 20 litres per day, making it one of the highest capacitymodels on this list (at least in ideal conditions). It also has a large four litre water tank so you won't need to empty it as often. Other features include an "overdry" protection mechanism, to stop the air getting too dry, and a spot function if you want to dry a specific area. It's also very quiet at just 34dB. Rapid control of humidity & indoor laundry drying. Controls mould, condensation and bacteria growth. The new Summit-S has an additional sleep mode, an enhanced version of our popular original classic Summit mode. When in sleep mode, only the Sleep light indicator will be on. The noise level in the sleep mode is quieter at only 35 dBA.

It's also highly effective at removing water at room temperature. At 20 degrees Celsius and a 60% humidity, for example, it's able to extract up to 8.3 litres per day. From our first visit from Éamonn and Rory, we were very impressed with their advice, patience with all our questions, and their tailoring of a system that suited our situation perfectly. EcoAir produce a range of excellent dehumidifiers for the UK market. In fact, the company features five times on our list of the top 10 dehumidifiers - more than any other brand. Even the quietest dehumidifier can't claim to be silent - at least if it uses electricity. Manufacturers often describe machines as having "silent" modes, but in reality this means they have a setting to reduce sound output. Other features include a three litre water tank, automatic shut-off when the tank is full, and a continuous drainage option. You'll need a floor-level drain to use a continuous drainage hose though, which is impractical for most homes.

A dehumidifier will not get rid of mould that's already inside your property. It can, however, prevent it from returning after treatment. The biggest downsides to this dehumidifier are that it's heavy and relatively noisy. These issues are a direct consequence of the dehumidifier's fast moisture extraction though. So, if you need to remove a lot of water from the air, the trade-off is worth it. The PB-15-UK is a refrigerant dehumidifier. It's one of the biggest models we've reviewed, with a bulky footprint and a very heavy 17kg design. In other words, it's not the right tank for a small flat or home! Like all refrigerant dehumidifiers, it works best at room temperature or above. This makes it suitable for bedrooms and bathrooms, but its poor performance at lower temperatures makes it unsuitable for garages or conservatories. With a 2 litre water tank, the Summit S is one of the smallest we've reviewed, so be prepared to empty it more often than other dehumidifiers. There is a continuous drainage option, but this often isn't viable for an in-home dehumidifier.
