Graham's 10 Year Old Tawny Port, 75 cl (Packaging May Vary)
About this deal
Lovely freshness in the mouth, there is a mineral elegance here which takes the wine above and beyond its station. This relates to the average number of years spent maturing in barrels before they are finally bottled. Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques.
Douro is a Portuguese wine region centered around the Douro River in the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro region. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer.
Their involvement with port and the Douro stretches generations, with ancestry dating back to the mid-17th century. Each Graham's Tawny Port bottle is the result of Graham's Art of Blending and once opened, unravels fine aromas and layers of rich flavours. Graham`s 10 Years Old is a tribute to craftsmanship, the passion for excellence, and unmatched precision, which is at the heart of every handmade Tawny Port. The grapes that are used to make Port must be grown in the mountainous Upper Douro region of Northern Portugal, the world's first officially demarcated wine region in 1756.
nALTERNATIVELY, Graham’s Tawny Port creates a fabulous and refreshing summer drink when served with tonic over ice with a slice of lemon. It is essential to strike the correct balance between the delicacy and elegance which results from prolonged cask ageing while retaining the fruit quality which lends this old Tawny its structure and longevity. They too have been involved with Port and the Douro for many generations, with ancestry dating back to the mid-17th century. They own their own vineyards too, unlike some of the inferior brands, and I was really impressed with the set up there. After a decade of care and slow oak-maturation this wine is a wonderful example of the complex flavours of tawny port.
