Description

As we move back to the front of the iCUE 5000T RGB, we stuck a finger in at the top of the mesh, and hooking the top, can remove it by gently pulling, then lifting it from a pair of tabs at the bottom for removal when cleaning or changing fans. At TechNextDay, we’re not only a seller of PC components, but also a partner in your passion for computing. The iCue 5000T RGB’s support for elaborate multi-radiator liquid cooling arrangements is sure to put it in the hands of many show-system builders, where its superb finish and optional white color will brighten any even hastily planned RGB color lighting scheme.

With 160 RGB LEDs integrated into the front, roof, and floor panels, plus 48 individually addressable LEDs in the included fans*, you’ll never experience a dull moment as you immerse yourself in amazing multi-zone lighting. The inclusion of five USB3 ports (even if only one is a Gen 2 Type-C) adds a measure of practicality to the panache and even gives us something to do with that second Gen 1 header found on so many higher-spec motherboards. Getting this off is frankly a giant pain and requires removing the RapidRoute cable tray and fan mount first. For the build within the iCUE 5000T RGB, we instead opted for the more unique side-placement possibility.

Out back, we find an empty 120mm fan mount with screw slots that allow for height adjustment of any fan or small radiator you might install here. What may appear to be cooling vents in the top, front and floor are actually better described as viewing ports for the ARGB lighting. Turn heads with the Corsair iCUE 5000T mid tower case, a stunningly designed and uniquely distinctive computer case with RGB accents and a large tempered glass side panel. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. The hub is mounted to the old SSD plate from earlier revisions and is surrounded by another wire management trail.

Under the chassis, we find it supported on wide steel feet that are screwed to the bottom of the chassis. With a top-mounted radiator, it was almost impossible to unplug the CPU power connector in the 680X without also removing the entire radiator. Aesthetics aren't the only focus with the Corsair iCUE 5000T RGB Mid Tower, cooling is also top notch too. Looking dead into the face of the iCUE 5000T RGB, we find that the center of the bezel is wide open with its black mesh insert made up of tiny triangles, where they placed the only external logo or name found outside of the chassis, done with the metal Corsair logo near the bottom.

The added thickness of a radiator would necessitate abandoning the cable-concealing fan shroud, though. There should be enough room for most coolers and GPUs, but note that the maximum CPU cooler height is 170mm while the maximum graphics card length is 400mm. The PSU we use has rather short ATX and CPU power leads, so they had to be routed straight to the right opening instead of taking advantage of the channels—this is not at all a fault of the chassis, of course.

Once you add a layer at the left, you can pick from one of the nineteen preset options or select custom or Lighting Link. Finance is only available to permanent UK residents aged 18+, subject to status, terms and conditions apply. This is important to me because I’m always tinkering, so I was happy to see that the side panels were tool-free and swing open on the iCue 5000T. The Tackle Tavern is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Pay4Later Limited, trading as Deko, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 728646). The chassis components are made from steel, plastic, tempered glass, and even some rubber bits here and there.
